Friday Favourites #36

I think we can all agree that Mint is a pretty amazing colour when it comes to accessories and fashion. It's a colour that never goes out of style and can be put together with pretty much any colour. I am obsessed with this coat! I want it in my life and I don't think I'll stop until I do. It's simply stunning! SheInside has been a recent discovery and I find myself browsing it all the time, there are some pretty gorgeous dresses on there and the coats are beautiful too. Well worth a look.

Shimmer Eye Powder from Helen e

I made another blogging blunder and missed out on yet another product to review on here. I was scrolling through my photos the other day and came across a group of products that I never got round to putting on the blog. So my first item comes from Helen e.

I received this Shimmer Eye Powder as part of a discounted set for the Pro Beauty event in Manchester last year and I remember instantly falling in love with it. It's my type of eyeshadow; bronzed, shimmery and great for layering.

I got Shade 13 in my set and it's just beautiful! It sits really well on your skin too as well as not having a lot of fall out on application.

What do you think? I might have to get a bit more involved with Helen e, the beauty products on there aren't too pricy and from my experience, they have very good quality.

Lemon Ends

Is anybody else out there as obsessed with the colour yellow as I am?

Yellow coats
Yellow bikinis
Yellow shoes
& Yellow nails....

I found this Barry M nail polish on Xtras for super cheap, so I couldn't help myself. It's really bright, creamy and super yellow! Perfect for summer.

I'm thinking some sunflower or daisy nail art will go down beautifully this summer and this will certainly be used for it. What do you think?

Fresh Amour

As a beauty blogger, you do tend to build quite a collection of make up and that sometimes, items can get neglected. Today's post is about a product I had totally forgotten about until I went rummaging through my make up drawer the other day.

As you can see, it's not looking it's best, even if it is a MAC.

Fresh Amour showed up at just the right time really. It's Springtime and that usually means pretty pastels start to come out of the wood work, so this lilac mattene lipstick is perfect!

I know this shade looks a little crazy on me, but I really love it. This might be more wearable played down with a two tone look. Still gorgeous though.

Motivate Me Monday

This week's Motivate Me Monday is a little different to the usual. I just thought that rather than having some fitspo up, I would let you in on a fitness trick that you will not only enjoy but see great results from.

You might have seen some blog posts on dog walking I do with Elliot's two bichon frises', so when I went up to his last week I decided to switch on my MapMyRun app and take a look at just how much you can get from such an enjoyable task.

After walking, running and playing along the beach for an hour, we had travelled 2.2 miles and burned 371 kcal's, which I'm sure will have been a lot more considering we were walking on sand. How amazing is that?

So before you think that fitness is a drag, get yourself out this Bank Holiday doing fun activities like beach walks. With or without a dog, you'll still be getting the benefits. Even better, when I'm out burning these calories, I can get some great shots of the dogs to feed my photography needs.

Friday Favourites #35

This week's Friday Favourites is actually getting inspired as I write it. I've had Katy Perry's new song Birthday in my head for days now, the video to this song is absolutely hilarious and so lovely too. So I decided to whack on the Katy Perry Part Of Me movie. Which is always bound to make you feel like you can wear whatever you like and wear outrageous colours. So as you can see, this week is kind of Katy Perry's fault.

2. Katy Perry Backstage Lashes
3. Lord & Berry Vogue Matte Lipstick in 60s Pink
4. Whistles Olivia Leather Strap Zip Clutch
5. ASOS Pick Me Up High Heels

Apocalips Big Bang

I know that this has been blogged to the moon and back, but I can totally see why now. This Apocalips in Big Bang is stunning, it's such a bright red and goes on with amazing pigment. I'm so impressed with this and I'll certainly be wearing this again and again.

I need to get my hands on more of these, check out how good they look.

It looks great with my blue hair too :)

My MAC Collection

I love this type of post, whenever I see another bloggers collection I just day dream of one day having a collection as big. I think I've done pretty well so far. I've been saving up and spending on MAC lipsticks for a few years now and have recently added to my collection quite a bit. MAC are one of the unbeatable lipstick brands out there, they might cost a little bit, but you definitely get what you pay for. Superb quality and hyper pigmented colour, as well as a range of shades to suit every skin tone and occasion you have coming up.

So here's my collection..

Little Potterhead

On Friday I turned 22, cue Taylor Swift...

And what did I do to celebrate being one more year into adulthood? Oh, well I was very much the child and made a little journey down to London to ask why I never got my Hogwarts acceptance letter from the Harry Potter Studio Tour.

I know, exciting right! All of which was tolerated by the lovely Elliot, who can't understand my huge tiny obsession with the world of wizardry, silly Muggle.

Warning *Spoiler Alert* If you are planning on travelling down here, look away now. This post is picture heavy!

We started our tour with a short video which then lead us into the Great Hall. On each side there were costumes from each house, including the one that Robert Pattinson wore from the Goblet Of Fire... *steals*

Then we entered The Big Room. This took you on your own little tour through the Gryfindor common room, Snape's potions class and Dumbledore's office. This was my favourite room as I love all the hand written memories vials within the Pensieve.

The exhibits then went through to some of the scenes from the later films, including Umbidges' office, costumes from the Draco family and death eaters masks.

After you go through all the sets, you take a quick walk to the courtyard where there are a number of sets to see including the The Night Bus, Privet Drive and Godric's Hollow. However, our focus was turned mainly to the butter beer. This was part of the tour that I was really looking forward to. The Butter Beer was smooth, tasty and sweet, everything I expected and more.

Once we had replenished, we made our way through to the next part of the tour, this included 2 rooms filled with the masks, accessories and mechanics created for the films.

After checking out all of these creatures and saying hello to Buck Beak, you then enter Diagon Alley. Strolling through the streets where Olivander's, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes and Flourish and Blott's.

Once you've had your fun there, you then get to take a look at just how much detail went into everything in the films. Detailed blue prints and sketches lead you through to some gorgeous art inspired and created from the films.

The grand finale of the tour takes you through to the largest scale Hogwarts! It's the most magical part of the tour and the amount of detail put into the castle is just incredible.

Then it's time to really get excited. Shopping time. You make your way through the wand room and immediately want everything in sight. House scarves, jumpers and gloves accompanied by wands, hats, capes and toys. My favourite part though was obvious going to be the sweets and chocolate section. Chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and Chocolate Wands made there way into my basket.

I cannot begin to tell you how much fun it was! The Harry Potter Studio Tour is perfect whether you're a fan of the films, books or both. It brings to life everything in the film and shows just how much effort was put in to allow us into the magical world of Harry Potter.

I'm so glad that Elliot brought me here and I had such a fun birthday!
