January probably leaves a lot of us a little out of pocket, so after various expenses, Christmas and New Year, I've found myself in the horrible cycle of having no money and building a wishlist.
As I can't spend my money on anything but rent, food and petrol, here is a Friday Favourites dedicated to beauty that I've been dreaming of since January began.
1. Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
2. Nails Inc The Boltons Metallic Nail Polish
3. Lime Crime Velvetines in Suedeberry
4. Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow
5. Lime Crime Zodiac Glitters in Taurus

New Year With Firework Nails
So I've been growing my nails for a while now with Renunail from Lookfantastic & I've also just received some gorgeous polishes in my Ciate Mini Mani Advent Calendar, so I was feeling creative and decided to team up some of the polishes and create a nail look worthy of bringing in 2014.
The first step involved the Nailtiques Formula 1, which is great for nails that are flexible and brittle like mine are at the moment. This acted as the perfect base coat for this look.
Then it was time for colour, opting for a classic pillar box red called Boudoir, I added just one layer of this to get the coverage I wanted. Much credit to Ciate's formulas.
Then with my chosen nail, I added the Ciate Speed Coat and poured on Miss Mistletoe, a beautiful, warm glitter of reds, golds and pinks. Messy business, but worth it for the pay off. I sealed in the glitter with the same Speet Coat and applied a layer onto the rest of my nails too.
There we have it, super sparkly, firework inspired nails! Just in time for New Year!!
Happy New Year everyone!
A year of blogging has flown by and I have loved it!
Argan Oil Hair Care
For a while now the focus for my hair has been to get it back in full health so that it can grow long and strong in the next year. So as well as investing in some amazing hair masks and hair oils, I've also decided that my daily hair care needs to be involved too to get the best results.
So when I saw these Shampoo & Conditioners for JUST 99P each in Home Bargains, I literally couldn't help myself.
Anything with argan oil on I will give a go on, made famous by Moroccanoil, Argan oil protects and repairs damaged hair with it's naturally hair loving properties. Not only are these two purse loving, but they really do leave your hair looking healthy and super soft, I even had to show Elliot how soft it was, he was pretty impressed for a boy.
So I think that for the New Year you should go treat yourself on this splurge-proof hair care from Home Bargains.

Primark Beauty Buys
Today I was a little bit naughty and headed off to one of my favourite shopping havens for some retail therapy.
Primark is my one stop shop for casual wear, jewellery and, as I've most recently discovered, some beauty finds too.
This Nail Polish Correction pen will come in handy in the new year, I've been growing my nails with Renunail so they are nearly ready for a slick of nail polish. And as I'm not too good with a nail polish brush, my mistakes I make will be worry free with this pen.
With my nails growing I also need to keep on top of them looking neat and tidy, so when I spotted this 6 way Nail Buffer for just a pound on Primark's shelves I couldn't resist.
And finally, this time of year is the time when make up can be super glittery and over the top, so these multicolour gems will come in handy for those New Years looks I'll be trying out.
Have you had any beauty finds in Primark recently? Let me know :)
