Orly Kiely iPhone Case

I've been sporting my bunny ear phone case for a few months now. I love it, however, I get mixed reviews from it. Some people love it and some not so much (Elliot). 

So after a visit to London Fashion Week, as you do, I got this gorgeous Orla Kiely iPhone case in the goody bag they gave out after the presentation. 

A sturdy case with a simple design, I was well and truly ready to shed my bunny ears and try something new for a while. I'm thinking of it as October chic. What do you think?

Orla Kiely Earl Grey Reed Diffuser

When I went to the Orla Kiely show at London Fashion Week I not only got to enjoy the amazing presentation that was put on, but on my way out was handed a rather gorgeous bag of goodies to enjoy.

One of my favourites from the bag was this gorgeous Earl Grey Reed Diffuser, which now sits proudly in my room.

London Fashion Week Day #4

Our last day at London Fashion Week and we took our achy feet to Somerset house for a double dose of shows that we were pretty excited for. 

Getting backstage access for Cristina Sabaiduc had us talking Venetian glass with inspiration for the pieces stemming from close up images of the glass with citrus colours running throughout. 

The presentation was very simple, a video would play with the models standing still. Once over the models would leave and change into the next pieces. 

Streetstyle was our next call of duty. Taking pictures of the fabulously dressed until our next show. 

KTZ are known for creating weird and beautiful collections, and this was no exception. An Arabic themed collection with full head pieces, sever make up and heavy embellishment really took itself apart from the rest of the shows we had seen. I really loved this collection, not all of it was wearable, but some pieces (like the floral coats) were totally up my street.

We then headed to Euston on a rush hour tube (scary) and home. 

My first London Fashion Week was a rushed, hectic but thoroughly enjoyable experience. Worlds apart from sitting at my desk, I can't wait until the next one. I'll definitely be heading over to the MAC bar next time! Gutted that I missed out on that.

London Fashion Week Day #3

Day 3 didn't quite end up as we had hoped. Heading over to Regent's Park for the Topshop show only to find out our names hadn't been placed on the list landed us in a down hearted mood.

However with Paul Smith soon after we made our way to Highbury to see another show we were both excited for. Unfortunately for us, nothing is ever simple. With the address having taken us to a random housing estate we were left feeling totally lost and thinking we'd miss the show. When out of nowhere another lost car showed up with a very generous woman inside who offered to take us to the show. Saved from the rain and the cold, we headed over and took out seats for the show.

The Paul Smith show was gorgeous. Filled with citrus colours combined with marine blues all hanging from the models figures for an effortlessly summery feel. Spotting Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe was a major plus too. 

We stopped off at One Bar for food and an essential phone charge. With gorgeous food and some much needed coffee down us we were off to the next show. 

That evening we were invited to the Kristian Aadnevik show. Entering the gorgeous establishment and enjoying free (and delicious) fruit cocktails while the rich and fabulous filled the room. Never have I ever felt so out of place. Another note to self, plan outfits for each show. The show was Moroccan desert inspired, with heavy embellishment with animal prints, beige and caramel tones throughout, finishing with a gorgeous flowing wedding dress.

Day 3 wore us out, heading back to our hotel and getting show reports written and off to bed ready to wake up to our last day of shows.

London Fashion Week Day #2

Day 2 and our feet had taken the full brunt of LFW. Not to self, buy sensible, supported shoes next time.

 After breakfast at Tom's Deli we started our busiest day with Antipodium at Somerset House. A very wearable springtime collection filled with pastels, embellishments and iridescent materials.

 We then headed to Orla Kiely's presentation and got to go backstage to take a look at the hair and beauty before the models went 'on stage'. Speaking to their lead make up artist, we discovered that the collection was very much girl scout themed. Make up was warm and fresh with brown eyeliner to bring out the eyes subtly. The collection was gorgeous, on a safari backdrop the girls made their way out with their animal prints, kitsch hats and very preppy attires.

The next show was Markus Lupfer over on Grosvenor place. We headed for lunch at a little Italian we managed to find amongst the designers shops and made our notes as we ate pizza, pasta and drank coffee. 



Another presentation from the designer, this collection was presented on a teenage girls bedroom. With the models dressed in patchwork floral dresses, jackets and skirts alongside thick lace white dresses that made me really excited for spring 2014.

Our last show came from a designer called Liza Black. Worlds apart from any collection we'd seen so far, the dresses were structured, with bold colours and adorned with severe 3D decorations that took a different take on springtime trends. With fierce blue make up with very styled hair that took a more severe look.
