Autumn Beauty Fair

A few weeks ago my Dad asked if I wanted to join him at the Autumn Beauty fair at the NEC in Birmingham. As a beauty blogger the answer was always going to be yes, so I invited my friend Rachel with me and headed over to indulge in some make up treats.

However when we got there, we were treated to more interior design than that of beauty. Ever the optimists though, we powered through and actually came across some pretty inspiring houseware that made me want to decorate for sure.

Loving the stalls with nibbles

This little guy popped up too

All in all it was a great excursion and a great day out with one of my best friends.

Lip Pen by H&M

The other day my friend Laura, the babe, came into work and handed me over this beauty.

She had been to H&M the night before and spotted this Lip Pen and thought 'Beka will like this'. How nice is that.

So here it is on. It looks gorgeous, not much colour pigment but lots of shine.

Friday Favourites #14

This week I didn't really know where to begin.

So I just took a chance and started browsing the new in range from ASOS (which is amazing btw) and came across this gorgeous slip dress. I LOVE it, want it and need it! As always. Paired with some chunky shoes and dainty gold jewellery, this is my perfect date night outfit.

1. ASOS Cami Slip Mini Dress
2. Boohoo Poppy Multi Buckle Ankle Boot
3. Warehouse Quilted Twistlock Clutch Bag
4. Topshop Cut Out Clamp Bracelet
5. Topshop Thin Barred Necklace

Seche Vite Snapdragon

I'm not usually a big fan of fuchsia/bright pink nail polishes, but when I saw this beauty from Seche Vite I'm pleased to say I was converted.

With a pigment rich formula and almost deep fuchsia shade, this colour is perfect for both summer and winter.

Here it is after one coat and then 2 coats.

You can get your hands on this gorgeous nail polish as well as many other shades over on Beauty Expert

Motivate Me Monday

I've not done one of these for a few weeks now and that's purely because I couldn't deal with the guilt of posting fitspo pictures knowing full well that I was snacking on pizza and chocolate.

But this week is all change. For some reason, everyone around me is on a health kick so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and make sure we all stay on track.

Poor Girl's Wishlist

Ahh! I am just so poor at the moment!

I've been craving a new foundation as I've recently been only using tinted moisturisers and BB creams to cover my skin. Standard Beka though, I can't just choose something that won't break the bank, I've set my eyes on a luxury that I just can't afford.

I've used to MAC Studio Fix foundation before and although I loved it at the time, it will be way too much coverage for what I want now.  So instead I'm lusting after the Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation. Please comment below if you have used this and think it's a good/bad choice.

Once on MAC though I kinda got carried away in the skin care section and now want all of that too. DAMN.

So what's a girl to do when she has no money but lots of wants....make a wishlist :)

1. Strobe Cream
I'm really into skin brightening products at the moment and this cream is packed with potent botanicals that perk up your skin when you're feeling a little worn out.

2. Prep + Prime Skin Brightening Serum
Again, another brightening skin care product. I love the idea of this, I really want to improve my skin underneath all the make up so that if I wanted a make up free day it wouldn't be a beauty free day.

3. Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation
The product that inspired this entire post, I really want to get my hands (and face) on this foundation. The word 'mineral' has been thrown around a lot recently and I kinda want to get in on the action.

4. Lightful Essence
I can see this being a beautiful addition to my skin care routine. Something I wouldn't use every day but would benefit from it's brightening and lightweight formula every couple of days.

5. Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder/Pressed
I'm one of the many beauty bloggers out there that has stuck to her standard Rimmel pressed powder since the day they discovered make up. But the idea of a transparent powder somehow really appeals to me.
