MAC Prep + Prime Samples

If you missed out on the latest MAC sample giveaway then you're going to hate this post.

For MAC's Facebook fans, they gave away mini samples of their Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage. All you had to do was enter your email and address to get your hands on one.

This little sample holds quite a lot in it to be honest. After a few uses I'm really loving how my skin feels after using it. It kind of leaves it with a powdery but not powdery feel, so a really soft finish. My make up looks pretty amazing after I've used it too, so it does what it says on the tin.

MAC are usually out of my budget (waahhhhh) but I think I would actually invest in this. You don't have to use a lot, which means it will last for ages and it gives you the results you want. So why not eh?

Rimmel Stay Matte Primer Review

Oo yes! Another Primer for me to try.

I love a good primer and this one from Rimmel really works. I'm not a fan of silicone based primers AT ALL. They make my skin feel rubbery and yes, pores a
re softened, but at the cost of my make up in a few hours I don't really see how they can be classed as Primers at all.

Anyway, rant over, this Stay Matte Primer from Rimmel is lovely. It goes on very much like a moisturiser and settles into the skin fast. It leaves your skin shine free and ready for your application of make up.
I've been using this for a week now and I'm really pleased that I picked it up. It's definitely going to be a staple in my daily beauty routine, that is until another handsome looking primer catches my eye.

Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer

I've been on a skin smoothing search recently. Looking for toners to decrease pore size, moisturisers that keep skin soft and primers that keep make up in place for as long as I need it to.

I came across this Flawless Poreless Primer from Seventeen when I couldn't seem to find any other primers in Boots. However, I am so glad that I didn't overlook this as I'm pretty impressed.

Not like primers I've used before, rather than coming from a tube or pump, this primer comes in a cream pot that you simply rub your fingers into and apply to your skin. I applied this to my problem areas (nose, cheeks and chin) and noticed my pores were instantly less visible.

I applied my new CC Cream and loved the results. If you're like me and hate the size of your pores, always seeking something to either shrink or cover them, then I think you're well worth giving this a try.

MAC Prep + Prime

I've always wanted to get that perfect finish for my lips but I find that lipsticks can leave my lips feeling dry and chapped, not a good look when you're rocking a red lip.

So I decided that MAC would be the solution to my problems. Prep + Prime provides you with that perfect base, hydrating lips to prevent cracking whilst amplifying the colour of your lipstick.

This is honestly a life saver, I don't know what on earth I've been doing for the last 20 years but from now on my lips and lip colour are always going to be perfect.
