I've wanted to get back into my nail art stride again for a while now and up until now, I have to admit, I was a little hesitant.
But I've bitten the bullet and decided my first branch into nail art again will be inspired by Valentine's Day. Because who doesn't love a bit of romance.
I applied a layer of Nailtiques Formula 1 as my base coat, followed by two layers of the fabulous Pillow Fight from Ciate.
I then took a curby grip and dotted into Kiss Chase to create a heart shape on my chosen nails. Running it diagonally across one way, then the other to create that heart shape.
I then decided to add a little sparkle with Confetti onto alternate nails.
Quite a simple nail art session tbh and I love the finishing look. So pretty and very appropriate for Valentine's Day.
What do you think?
I have heard of a lot of hair products but never a scalp mud. And that's why when Spa Find sent me their Conditioning Scalp Mud to try, I was more than intrigued.
The mask is creamy and thick with a rich floral scent that my hair loves!
After using this Scalp Mud for a few washes, I noticed that my hair was a lot shinier and softer. Not only that, the condition after I dried it was great too.
But I've got to say the biggest difference was how long my hair lasted without getting greasy from using the mud. Usually I'm a shower ever day kind of girl, but with this mud, I can go a few days without water touching my hair. Impressed indeed.
You can get this Heavenly Hydration Conditioning Scalp Mud from Spa Find
I saw this look on a fashion edit in a magazine last year and ever since I haven't got it out of my mind.
It's quite a simple look really but I think it's just beautiful.
I took my favourite base coat from Nailtiques and applied a layer.
Then it was time for some serious glitter. I took Party Shoes from Ciate and applied 2 layers of this onto my nails. Then sealed with my Speed Top Coat.
Simple, but stunning in my view.

Over the last few weeks I have gone on a journey to longer, prettier nails.
Fed up of wearing falsies and making jokes about how (not) gorgeous my chewed up stubs looked, I wanted to finally take on this bad habit and nip it in the bud.
This is where Renunail comes in.
The Dr Lewinn's Renunail Original Nail Strengthener eliminates peeling, flaking and chipping whilst working on nail strength, growth and health. You start the process with 2 layers of Renunail on your first day, followed by 5-6 days of 1 layer. Once the week is up, you remove with nail varnish remover and start the process again over the next 4 weeks. You should leave your nails for a 2 week break in between months.
So here is my before and after... Pretty impressive I think
As well as Renunail just generally being amazing for your nails, for me as a nail biter, the ritual of adding a layer every day and seeing them grow so fast really helped with stopping chewing on them.
I would showcase my nails to everyone I could and soon started painting them. Now I can't get enough of my new, healthy and long nails. Everyone has noticed how nice they look now and I feel so much more like a girl now.
I can't recommend Renunail enough. If you're a nail biter like me or your nails are suffering in the cold weather, then give Renunail a go.
I got my nail-saving bottle from Lookfantastic
I am obsessed with doing my nails atm.
One. I love picking a new colour, sitting myself down and having a half hour quiet session doing my nails. It's like meditating.
Two, it helps with my nail biting. I haven't chewed on my precious ten in over a month now and painting my nails not only reminds me of how pretty they are long, but when I get a bit fiddly and stressed out, I can pick the nail polish off rather than biting my nails. Problem solved.
So my latest manicure uses a brighter shade than my recent colours of late. A baby pink from Ciate with a silver french tip on my feature nail.
I always, always, always put a base coat on when I put a new nail polish on. I'm currently using the Nailtiques Protein Formula 1, created for flexible and brittle nails. It has left my nails so strong after just a few uses and my once bendy nails are now as hard as, well, *nails*.
I had to do 4 layers of this Ciate nail polish to get an opaque finish. I'm putting this down to the fact that it's a light shade but Ciate polishes dry fast and don't smudge easily so this is a non-issue really.
Silver glitter from Locket then goes onto my ring finger and is sealed in with the Ciate Speed Coat.
I wonder what my next meditation session will hold. Feeling creative.
