Pizza Time

I am a pizza fiend, if I could get away with eating pizza every day without ballooning then I would.

So I treat myself every now and then to my favourite food, this time from scratch.
I've made pizza before from scratch but it's always been really thick and not good at all, so this time I wanted to get it right. Luckily I had my partner in crime, Elliot, to help me get it right this time.

We used 360g pizza dough flour, added two teaspoons of olive oil and 200ml of luke warm water for the base.

Knead this and leave it for 30 minutes to settle.

Then you have the fun bit, shaping the dough to make the perfect pizza base. The intention was to make a heart shaped pizza... however only Elliot managed to make it resemble a heart, mine was just a random squiggly shape. Skills.

For the sauce Elliot used passata with basil and crushed garlic. We did this to taste so you can add as much as you like to get the perfect sauce for you. Add salt and pepper for seasoning.

Adding pesto and chopped up mozzarella around the pizza. I opted for a simple Margarita pizza whilst Elliot went all out on the Tuna with his.

Cook for roughly 10 minutes, although we cooked ours for slightly longer to get a crispier base.

Pop open the bubbly and enjoy your Italian feast :)
